    The ethical, legal and social implications of research into genetic contributions to violent and anti-social behavior, the ethical implications of optogenetic technologies, the ethical, legal and social implications of non-invasive prenatal diagnosis using cell-free fetal DNA, the development of constructive technology assessment for predictive ethical analysis of emerging technologies.

    Research Interest

    The socio-cultural constructions behind how patients and practitioners understand psychiatric diseases and treatments, and how these understandings may ultimately affect mental health. Particular focus on how psychedelic drugs like ayahuasca are used in folk healing, and in conventional psychiatric research as experimental therapies.

    Research Interest

    I am postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Nephrology at Stanford University. My research interests include chronic kidney disease, particularly clinical outcomes in hemodialysis patients. Currently, I am investigating the use of low sodium dialysate prescriptions and its effect on blood pressure control as well as interdialytic weight gain.
