Research InterestMy research aims to improve our understanding of the health risks associated with exposure to tobacco marketing and provide a scientific rationale for new policies to reduce it. I also study use of media to promote and discourage adolescent tobacco use, and the impact of tobacco advertising on urge and craving to smoke.

Research InterestTobin is a Senior Research Scholar at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. She obtained her Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from the University of Washington and did postdoctoral research in Genetics at the University of California, Berkeley and in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Francisco.
