Bio


David Oh, MD, has been the Medical Director of Clinical Services at the Stanford Blood Center since 2013. He is a board-certified clinical pathologist with sub-specialty board-certification in blood banking and transfusion medicine. Dr. Oh was born and raised in Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. Dr. Oh completed a 5-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Cleveland Clinic. He subsequently completed a blood banking/transfusion medicine fellowship at the BloodCenter of Wisconsin/Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Oh moved to San Diego, CA, in 2004 and was the Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director of the San Diego Blood Bank for nearly 10 years prior to joining the department of pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor.

Dr. Oh is Chair of the Medical Technical Advisory Committee of the Blood Centers of California. He also serves on the California Blood Bank Society Emergency Preparedness Committee.

Dr. Oh enjoys eating cheese curds, drinking a beer, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers - not necessarily in that order.
